Your septic system may fall into the “out of sight, out of mind” category of things around your home, but if your system is leaky or full, it’s a big problem that you’ll need to take care of right away. It can threaten your family’s health and that of the environment, so look for these signs that your septic system has problems.
- A healthy area of grass around your septic tank that’s different than the rest of your yard
- Wet patches or even standing gray water around the drainfield, especially if the rest of your lawn is dry.
- Dirty water from your faucets or slow clearing drains, which indicate a back up in the system
- An odor around your tank, drainfield, or faucets and drains.
If you detect one or more of these signs, contact us right away. We can diagnose whether you have septic system or other issues and quickly fix the problem.
